Carnell Design was started by Jamie Carnell in 2002 in Grand Haven, Michigan (near Grand Rapids, Michigan). Jamie has dedicated his entire life to his art and design and continues to perfect his art to this day. Jamie spent most his younger years drawing, painting, creating jewelry, enjoying music, the outdoors, his family and friends. Jamie spent his years in high school attending every art and creative class available and spent his junior and senior years studying graphic arts at the Careerline Tech Center in West Olive, Michigan. Eventually he went on to college off to college to pursue his dream of becoming a professional artist. Jamie attended both Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan and Grand Valley State University in Allendale Michigan were he studied the graphic arts and Illustration.

Jamie's first job out of college was for a large printing company in Muskegon Michigan. It was the perfect first job were he learned the "ins and outs" of the printing industry while working with clients advertising design needs. Jamie worked closely on projects from conception to the printed product. Working with large format printers (including color calibrations), he designed and printed graphics and banners for companies all over the West Michigan area.

Jamie went on to start his own start his own design company. Carnell Design began offering logo design, graphic design, company branding, business cards, brochures and any general design requests. Jamie gained a small client base and received good feedback from his customers. Many clients began asking for web sites and the company began offering web design and development services.

Eventually Jamie was offered a position for a small growing web hosting and web design/advertising company in Holland Michigan and put his own business on hold for a chance to gain some great experience in an emerging field and to learn some real world business skills. Jamie worked very closely managing hundreds of clients, while helping to rapidly grow and market this company. After 4 years Jamie gained some great business management skills while working closely with client's web development and web hosting needs.
